The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise confirmed the University of Lincoln as a research-led institution. The School of Social and Political Sciences and the PSRC formed the core of the University’s returns in Politics and International Studies and in Social Work, Social Policy and Administration, which ranked particularly highly: almost all of the research outputs in Social Work and Social Policy & Administration, and half of those in Politics and International Studies rated as of international standard.
